Well, I've officially been an aunt for one year. It has truly been the best year of my life. Henry has blessed me in so many ways, and I can not wait to be an aunt for a second time this summer. The blog has been fun, but time to retire. Thanks for sharing in such a blessed year :)

Fun Morning Friday

Today Ali had an early morning doctors appointment (to check on Hooper baby #2), so she dropped Henry off at my apartment. I guess Henry had woken up a little earlier today, so after playing at my house for only about 45 minutes he was exhausted! We were watching some Yo Gabba Gabba and I look over to find this:

Today Henry saw Heidi looking out the backyard window, so he decided to join her. They were just too cute checkin things out together. Both of them I'm sure would have loved to be playing outside, but It's still a little bit chilly outside. Here are a couple pics:

Today is Funday Friday! That means I get to take Henry for a few hours in the afternoon:) I took some pictures of the little guy after I changed his diaper. He doesn't sit still for long, so you have to be quick! Also, I got a video of him crawling. He loves to be on the move. As always, he cracks me up and brings so much JOY to my life!

Ohio State vs. Michigan game

Yesterday was the Ohio State vs. Michigan football game (Go Bucks!). Since both husbands were away, (I do not have a husband for him to be away) the girls (Lisa, Ali, and myself) decided to watch the game together at Lisa's. We had a blast, and of course the kids did too! It is so fun to see them interacting with each other. Each day gets better and better!

This weekend Henry was at his Grandma and Grandpa Hoopers house, and boy did I miss him! So when I talked to Ali and found out he was home I couldn't get over there fast enough! I picked him up and brought him back to our house. Henry is at such a fun age and is so much fun to play with. One of the things he loves is playing in his walker. He is so good at maneuvering and following us (and the dogs) around. Below is a quick video I took of him:

being thankful

Today at church Pastor Mike's message was about prayer. Well as I was listening to him speak I was also looking at a picture of Henry (the one above). I was thinking about how blessed I am to have this little guy in my life and how much I have to be thankful for. Far to0 often when I pray I am asking for things. So tonight when I pray I am going tell God the things I am thankful for. I am not going to ask for anything or talk to him about any silly needs. The entire prayer will be of praise and thanks. I encourage others to do this too. I really think it will help put life in to perspective and remind us that no matter what we are going through there is so much to be thankful for. I also know that at the top of my list will be thanking God for my wonderful nephew Henry Hooper!

Wow does time fly by! Happy 7 month birthday Henry! I have been so blessed with the sweetest nephew in the world. Today we took him on a walk outside. It was such a nice day out. Henry loves being outside and looking at his surroundings. By the end of the walk he was a sleepy boy.

today i had my first day with henry all by myself....it is harder than it looks! we started off a little rocky (tried to go to target... bad timing!), but ended up great! he ended up falling asleep so we took a little visit to my friend britt's place and hung out with her and abby. he slept the whole time! i love being able to have this time with him, and am so excited for more days together!

Yea! Time flies when you're having fun! Henry turned 3 weeks today! I'm so lucky to live close to the little guy and see him often. We have already taken him to the zoo with his cousin Ella...he slept the whole time! What a joy!

So my little nephew is 5 days old now! He cam home from the hospital yesterday and is doing perfect! Little guys likes to sleep. Went over yesterday and got to help babysit while Matt and Ali ran an errand. Today we all had dinner at my parents and he slept for 3 hours! All the dogs love him too. Lifes been great and I fall in love all over again every time I see him. What a miracle and an amazing gift from God!

so, being an aunt is the best role in life ever!!!!! i got to play with my little nephew twice today.....the boy is so chill and laid back! ali and matt have really wowed me with how natural of parents they are. it is so neat to see your sister so happy!

well, while they have been at the hospital i've gotten to spend time with their other little guy jaeger. i keep telling him about henry, and the hunting trips that they'll take together:).

like i said this adventure has been so fun, and each day just keeps getting better!

henry is here!!!!! he is perfect! today was a long but joyous day! ali ended up having to have a c section because little henry wasn't dropping. he ended up being 7lbs 4oz, 20in, and born at 2:59pm. He surprised us all because we all thought he would be a 9 pounder!!!! anyway, i can not even describe the feeling i had when i saw henry for the first time! lets just say i was crying and screaming at the same time. everyone is perfect and being an aunt is better than i could ever expect!

so it's 10:51 at night and just talked to ali. she is all hooked up and has the first part of the induction started. matt has already started with the video camera so i'm sure that we'll get some great footage! she is having little contractions and is making matt look at the monitor each time she thinks she is having one. talking on the phone with them has been pretty amusing. least she's laughing....we'll check back on that in the morn. mom and i will go to the hospital early tomorrow. i don't think i'll be able to sleep tonight! yea! it's happening!!!!!

Well, lifes about to change....big time! Morgan is about to become an aunt. My sister Ali is due Tuesday with a little boy, Henry. I think this is the most excited I've ever been...ever! So, here is what I am in charge of....First, making phone calls when she goes into labor...Second, making sure camera and video camera are ready.... Third, doing whatever else Ali tells me to do. Then, I get to be in the room and let her scream and yell at me while my poor nephew is trying to enter the world...We should do one of those Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes silent births.
